Owner Vincent Accardi, a veteran of multiple high-profile projects, he is the ultimate low-key personality: unflappable when the clock’s winding down and never at a loss for a positive suggestion or a creative solution when a project’s needs are exceeding what seems available in the bins.
Hardened by the stomach churning demands of sports television, Vincent’s approach to work is a productive marriage of creativity and timeliness. He is constantly pushing the visual envelope but understands when it is time to get the job done. The quality of his work is reflected in how it has been received by members of the industry, to date he has 14 Emmy nominations with 6 wins.
Vincent spent his formative years as an editor at Betelgeuse Productions, the legendary post-house that for decades was the networks’ first choice when it came to cutting high-end teases and features. Equipped with a skill set fine-tuned for storyline, Vincent hooked on with CBS Sports in 2005, quickly establishing himself as a key member of the production teams that delivered March Madness, US Open Tennis, The NFL, The PGA, The Tour de France, SEC College Football and The Masters. Outside of Black Rock, Vincent’s cutting chops were put to use for several of NBC’s Winter Olympics and HBO’s award-winning boxing shows and as the senior editor of the innovative NFL weekly program, Jets 24/7.
In recent years, Vincent has successfully crossed into promo, commercial, music and long-form work. On the promo side, his clients include A&E, Biography and History. He cut the spots for 102 Minutes that Changed America which proved to be History’s 2nd highest-rated show of all time. When the computer gaming convention E for All needed a creative punch for their viral ads they clicked on Conquer Films as did Gametime Watches. As for music, Vincent is working with the highly talented musician composer from Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mark Wood. Most recently, Vincent completed work on Roberto Monticello’s independent film You Have the Right to Remain Violent and is currently editing for the Latin Jazz Grammy Award winner, Arturo O’Farrill.
Throughout all of his projects, Vincent is driven by a steadfast conviction to the creative process. He sees it is a team endeavor that requires a comfortable intimacy between the editor and the producer/director. At Conquer Films, the environment is always positive, always ready to build even the most fractured hint of an idea into a gripping piece of storytelling.
